pra te bravīmi tadu me nibodha svargyamagniṃ naciketaḥ prajānan | anantalokāptimatho pratiṣṭhāṃ viddhi tvametaṃ nihitaṃ guhāyām
Yama agrees and locates the fire: it is not 'out there' alone — it is also hidden in the cave of the heart. The same fire that lights the outer altar is the inner foundation.
Meaning
(Yama:) 'I will tell you, Naciketas — listen well. I, the knower of the fire that leads to heaven. Know it as the attainment of the infinite world, as the foundation — hidden in the cave (of the heart).'
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
