pūṣannekarṣe yama sūrya prājāpatya vyūha raśmīn samūha tejaḥ | yatte rūpaṃ kalyāṇatamaṃ tatte paśyāmi yo'sāvasau puruṣaḥ so'hamasmi
The mahāvākya 'so'ham asmi' — 'I am He.' Addressing the sun (Pūṣan) with five names representing different cosmic functions, the seer asks the sun to dim its blinding rays so its true form can be seen — and recognizes that form as his own Self.
Meaning
O Pūṣan, solitary seer, Yama, Sūrya, son of Prajāpati — draw aside thy rays, gather thy splendour. Thy most blessed form I behold: that Person yonder — I am He.

Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
