तस्मादृचः साम यजूंषि दीक्षा यज्ञाश्च सर्वे क्रतवो दक्षिणाश्च ।संवत्सरश्च यजमानश्च लोकाः सोमो यत्र पवते यत्र सूर्यः
tasmādṛcaḥ sāma yajūṃṣi dīkṣā yajñāśca sarve kratavo dakṣiṇāśca | saṃvatsaraśca yajamānaśca lokāḥ somo yatra pavate yatra sūryaḥ
Cultural and cosmic life both emerge from the Puruṣa. The Vedas, rituals, social roles, and the celestial sphere are all his manifestation. There is no sacred/secular divide in this picture — both flow from one source.
अर्थMeaning
उसी से ऋच्, साम, यजुस्; दीक्षा, सब यज्ञ, सब क्रतु, सब दक्षिणाएँ; संवत्सर, यजमान, और वे लोक — जहाँ चन्द्रमा और सूर्य चमकते हैं।
अक्षरशः अनुवाद — मूल संस्कृत श्लोक के प्रत्येक पद का प्रत्यक्ष अर्थ।
From him: the Ṛc, Sāman, and Yajus hymns; initiation, all sacrifices, all rites, all priestly fees; the year, the sacrificer, and the worlds where the moon and the sun shine.
