yadi manyase suvedeti daharamevāpi nūnaṃ tvaṃ vettha brahmaṇo rūpam | yadasya tvaṃ yadasya deveṣvatha nu mīmāṃsyameva te manye viditam
Pivotal turning point. The teacher warns: if you think you have understood Brahman, you have understood only a fragment — never the whole. Confidence in spiritual knowing is itself the disqualification.
Meaning
(Teacher to student:) If you think you know Brahman well, in truth you know only a fragment of its form, whether of it in yourself or in the gods. Therefore Brahman is still to be inquired into by you. (Student:) I think I know it.

Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application

A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
