yanmanasā na manute yenāhurmano matam | tadeva brahma tvaṃ viddhi nedaṃ yadidamupāsate
The mind itself, like every other faculty, is an object in awareness. You can observe your own mind — therefore the observer is prior to the mind. That prior consciousness, in which the mind appears, is Brahman.
Meaning
That which the mind does not think, but by which the mind itself is thought — know that alone as Brahman, not this which people worship as such.
Direct literal rendering preserving Sanskrit philosophical terminology.
Vyakhya
Science & Modern Application
शोध संदर्भResearch context · not scriptureComparative Research Noteशोध टिप्पणी
A modern parallel offered for reflection. It is not part of the scripture, and it has not been checked against the original sources it may allude to.
